A full day in Chogoria with the VHI team visiting some of the micro-enterprises. VHI also runs a health education program for micro loan recipients. We team up with the health coordinator who manages the health education projects to check out the progress of the program on the ground. Better still, we have the opportunity to visit some of the special interest sites within Chogoria such as the scenic waterfalls, tea plantations and factories. Day 3: Departure Day
After a farewell breakfast by the VHI team, we depart Chogoria for Nairobi or your next safari destination. On request, we can organize a 5 to 7 days climb to Mount Kenya(B)

In 2001, Village Hopecore received its first donation to fund a group of twelve women. Since then, twenty-three more groups of 12 individuals each -- 324 agricultural or other business projects -- have been funded. This is an increase of 12 groups during the past year. Of these 12 groups, five are composed of individuals who are

- personal development
- professional mentoring
- HIV/AIDS prevention education
HIV/AIDS infected. VHI is grateful to the Sebastopol and Healdsburg Rotary Clubs that provided funds for a Rotary International Matching Grant, which enabled us to fund seven of the groups mentioned above.

Today, we enjoy a scenic drive through the agriculturally rich central Kenya to the town Chogoria lying on the foothills of Mount Kenya. On arrival in Chogoria, we'll be welcomed by the Village Hope Core team for lunch. Later in the afternoon we check out several community initiatives Supported by VHI.
